Our Background
Forge Way FC is vibrant and forward-thinking girls and women's football club forged in the spirit of Kirkstall Forge and fuelled by the legacy of Elizabeth (Betty) Beecroft. Founded by Adrian Sparrow, a dedicated advocate with over 15 years of coaching and managerial experience, our club is more than a team; it's a community where passion, history, and a love for the beautiful game converge.
Inspiration from Kirkstall Forge Forge Way FC draws inspiration from the historic Kirkstall Forge, an integral part of our community's identity. Adrian Sparrow envisioned a club that mirrors the forge's resilience, innovation, and tradition. The forge, with its centuries-old legacy, serves as a reminder that strength is forged through collaboration, hard work, and a shared commitment to excellence.

In the same way Kirkstall Forge shaped the landscape of the community, Forge Way FC aims to shape the lives of our players, providing them with a platform to excel in football and beyond.

Honouring Betty Beecroft's Legacy The club is named in homage to Elizabeth (Betty) Beecroft, an influential figure in Kirkstall Forge's history. Betty's legacy as a trailblazer in women's rights and a community leader aligns seamlessly with our values at Forge Way FC. We strive to embody her spirit by fostering an inclusive environment where women and girls can flourish, both athletically and personally.
